Best VoIP-phones for your computer (programs)

“Pulver.Communicator” / “FWD.Communicator”

“Pulver.Communicator” and “FWD.Communicator” are the same program with different names. Both programs can be used only with fwd.pulver.com server.

That's why this programs can be easily Configured, and are recommended to use for the beginners. Detailed information about this programs is available at "How to start" section.

So it's the best choice for starting using VoIP.

If you need to change SIP-account configuration (Domain, SIP proxy, Outbound proxy, STUN server, etc) you need to use some other VOIP-program.

“X-light”

This program has more features, but you need to have some time to Configure it.

"X-light" is the best choice from free softphones for your computer. If you'd like to make free calls to other computers and some countries (look at "Make free calls" section of this site) I recomend you to use this program.

“Skype”

Preconfigured program which works only with Skype network. It is easy for use, but with this program you can't use free VoIP services, you can use only what Skype company provides. So if you don't want to pay for advanced telephony features, this program isn't suitble for you. But you can still use it for calling other Skype users for free.
