How to start using VoIP services

To start using VoIP services you need to have

• computer

• broadband connection to the internet (minimum speed is about 128 kb/s)

• headphones (or you can use speakers)

• microphone

You can also use VoIP phone.

Do you have everything? If not, what are you waiting for - go to any store and buy everything you need.

Ok. Now you need to install some free software and register for a free account. This will take not more then 5-10 minutes of your time.

Let’s go to this link and download “FWD.Communicator” program.

I'm sure there will be no problems with program installiation.

Start program.

Press image with key.

Press "Get new account" button.
If there apper any warings - agree with them.

You can also register by visiting this link.

Choose your account name and enter your personal detailes. Press "Signup".

Everything looks fine. Your activaton code has been sent to your e-mail.

Soon you will recieve something like this:

Now go to the link from your mail.

754038 – This is your account number (you need to remember it or write it somewhere), this number is called SIP Phone Number (or FWD-number).

Congratulations! You account now has been activated! Now you already can use some services for free, keep reading and you will learn how!

 

Press "key" again.

Enter your account name and password, press “Login” button. If there will be any problems, try to wait for a few minutes, and then try again.

If you see "online" sign at the bottom everything looks perefect! Now you can already make free calls to other sip-numbers, and some telephone numbers.

For example you can call toll-free numbers (like this one 1-800-NO-COPYS, 1-800-662-6797) in lot's of countries for free.

For call regular number you should dial number in international format, without zero at the begining and without any spaces or "-" signs, also you should put "*" sign at the beginig of any regular number.

To call other numbers, you should register with any VoIP-provider. Some providers give you an oppotunity to test there services for free. There are also some providers that let you call some countries or towns for free without any limits - look for them at "Make free calls" section.

To change provider, you need to download other software (look for it at "MAKE FREE CALLS" section of this site), which will allow you to choose any provider (free version of FWD.Communicator could be used only with Free World Dialup provider).
